Sarah Jane won the Kolozsvar Award from New York City Opera for her performance of Galatea in Handel's Acis and Galatea. Established in 1995 by Mr. Marvin Kristein, the Kolozsvar award honors one artist from the spring season who has performed in new or unusual repertory. In the words of Mr. Kristein: “Kolozsvar comes from Hungarian folklore and evokes a magical place — a utopia.”
Sarah Jane received both the 2006 Ambie Award and Marquee Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance of Maria in West Side Story at Tulane Summer Lyric Theater.
